India - Expedition in Ladakh - Stok Kangri Expedition
Stok khangari (6150m) is lying on south west of Leh ( hart of Ladakh) . stok khangri is one of the famous Peak in Ladakh Himalaya range and it is not really technical. But sometimes there is quite hard ice and Rock, so you must need full climbing Gears.
About 30 to 45 minutes drive from Leh to Stok Village and Horse man is already waiting in Trekking starting point. Trekking on till Base Camp is easy walk and there is only one valley. But from Base camp to High Camp is little bite up and you filing altitude.
Stok Khangri Offer you spectacular view of Indus Valley, Marka Valley and Karamkoram Range include world second Highest Mountain in the world K2. others peaks in the area include Golab khangri (5900m) adjacent to stok khangri, Matho west (5950m)and many unnamed peaks in the same range.

Trip Itinerary
Day 01: Leh to Stok and Mankarmo (4250 m) 5 hrs.
Drive to Stok village and trek to Mancarmo through a beautiful valley. Where there are unusual rock formations that point skywards in orange, purple and green colors. Overnight at camp.
Day02: Mankarmo to Base Camp (4800m) about 5 to 6 hrs.
From Mancarmo trek higher into a desolate area, inhabited by marmots and blue sheeps surrounded by high mountains. The Base Camp is nice flat part and nice view of Golaib khangri. Overnight at camp.
Day03: Base Camp to High camp (5200m) 2 Hrs.
You walk up to the advance base camp; the trail leads you towards west and then southward from the top of the Hill. You will be passing through a few glaciers before you reach advance base Camp from where you start crossing the glacier. Overnight at camp
. Day 04: High Camp to Stok khangari Summit (6150m) & Base Camp.
Start crossing the glacier towards southeast and then climb the peak to the western side. There are two ways to go up; one from left side of the glacier and right side trail is more technical. When you reach you on the ridge than continues flow the range and just blow the summit is little bite difficult and you reach one the summit. You will have spectacular view of view of whole Ladakh Valley include K2 and all Indian Himalaya and return back to Base camp.
Day 05: Base Camp to Stock Village and drive to Leh.
It is long descent to stok Village and drive to Leh or continues trek to over stok-La through Rumbak, Zinchen and spituk and drive to Leh.
