Mera Peak & Island Peak Climbing
Mera Peak is the highest permitted trekking peak of Nepal. It stands to the south of Everest and dominates the watershed between the heavily wooded valleys of the Hinku and Hongu Drangkas. J.O.M. Roberts and Sen Tenzing made the first successful ascent on 20 May 1953. The trek starts from Kathmandu with a drive to Jiri and a trek to Lukla at 2800m. This is a good way to begin as it helps develop physical fitness and is excellent for altitude acclimatization. But most of the people take a flight to Lukla and stay there overnight. From Lukla to Chutanga we walk through rhododendron and pine forests.
Mera Peak & Island Peak Climbing
Day 01 : pick up from the Int'L Airport, transfer to Hotel & well come diner.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu, shopping and packing.
Day 03 : Early morning flight to Lukla (2800m) Overnight in Lodge.
Day 04 : Lukla to Chutenga (3350m) Camp.
Day 05 : Chutenga to over Zatrela pass overnight at Chatrarbu (4340m)
Day 06 : Chatrabu to Kothe (3700m) Camp.
Day 07 : Kothe to Thagnak (4356m) Camp.
Day 08 : Thanak Rest for Acclimatization Camp.
Day 09 : Thanak to Khare (4900m) Camp.
Day 10 : Khare to Mera La (5200m) For Glacier training & back to khare
Day 11 : Khare to Mera High Camp (5800m) Camp.
Day 12 : High Camp to Mera Summit (6421m) Rato Odar (5100m) Camp.
Day 13 : Rato Ordar to Chamlang Base Camp (4700m) Camp.
Day 14 : Chamlang B.C.to Seto Pokhari (4900m).
Day 15 : Seto Pokhari to Amphulapcha Base Camp (5200m) Camp.
Day 16 : Base Camp to over pass (5800m) camp in Chukung Valley Camp.
Day 17 : Chukung Valley to Island Peak base camp (5100m) overnight in Lodge.
Day 18 : Chukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5200m) Camp.
Day 19 : island peak Summit (6189m) overnight in Base Camp.
Day 20 : Base Camp to Dingboche (4300m) overnight in Lodge.
Day 21 : Dingboche to Tangboche (3800m) overnight in Lodge.
Day 22 : Tangboche to Namche (3446m)/ in Lodge.
Day 23 : Namche to Lukla (2800m) overnight in Lodge.
Day 24 : Flight to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 25 : one spare day in cash bad weather.
Day 26 : Kathmandu Free/shopping Day.
Day 27 : Transfer to International
